Women on the Frontline: Women in Afghanistan

With 60% of marriages forced, and one of the highest rates of domestic violence in the world, the situation for women in Afghanistan is desperate. WOMANKIND Worldwide is hosting an evening at the Frontline Club in London with Christina Lamb (Sunday Times Foreign Correspondent), Partawmina Hashemee (Director of Afghan Women’s Resouce Centre) and Kathryn Lockett (WOMANKIND Worldwide). The evening will be a rare opportunity to explore the chronic problems experienced by these women and hear more about the extraordinary work being done to challenge inequality there.
